Asakusa Summer Night Festival “Toro Nagashi” (Lantern Floating Event)
“Toro” (Lanterns) filled with wishes of each person color the water surface of the Sumidagawa River
“Toro Nagashi” of the Sumidagawa River which was held for the first time at the Festival of Recovery in 1946 was suspended to maintain the tide embankment, but it came to be held again after the Sumida Park Shinsui Terrace was completed. The scenery where many people float lanterns with various wishes on the river is becoming a summer tradition of the Sumidagawa river.
If you participate in the “Toro Nagashi”, it is charged and it is also possible to accept on the day at the venue in addition to advance reservation. Only viewing is free.

|Note||*”Toro Nagashi” Participation can be accepted at the venue on the day other than in advance application. The reception on the day starts at 14:00 at Sumida Park entrance (near the Water Bus Landing Stage) and it is over when the stock of lanterns disappears.
