Grand Sumo will come to KITTE again this year!
In the midst of the recent Grand Sumo boom, “Hakkiyoi KITTE” will be held from August 13th to 25th, 2019. “Hakkiyoi KITTE” has been held every year since 2015.

A genuine sumo ring will be installed in the KITTE 1F atrium, and the “Grand Sumo Exhibition 2019” will be held. In addition to various exhibitions related to sumo wrestling such as models of the hands and feet of wrestlers, the popular “Sumo shooting camera” which can take a wrestler-like picture with the ring name of sumo wrestler will be set up.
At the “KITTE Grand Sumo Tournament” to be held on the last day, you can enjoy the Dohyo-iri (ring entering ceremony) and matches by the active Makuuchi wrestlers up close.
