Bunkyo Plum Festival 2017 (Yushima Tenmangu Shrine)
Light up of plum blossoms and various events will be held
Yushima Tenmangu Shrine (Yushima Tenjin) has been known as a plum spot since the Edo era. “Plum Festival” is held from February to March every year, and 400,000 people visit during the period.
There are 300 plum trees in the precincts, mainly white plums. Many plum varieties will be in full bloom at each time.
During the festival, light-up is held every day, and various events are held on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
